Flood and landslides disasters in Manado, in January 2014

Heavy rain which flushed Manado region during 2 days, causing flooding and mudslides in some areas. In fact, the local government office to be paralyzed, due to flooded up to 3 meters. Thirteen dead, two missing and 40,000 have been evacuated. The dead are likely to continue to grow until the flood subsided. Because there is no exact data.

Thousands of homes are being drowned in 5 districts, Wanea District, Sario, Tuminting, Tikala and Bunaken in Manado, North Sulawesi. High water in the 5 districts were varied, ranging from 1 to 3 meters. It is estimated that heavy rain will continue to fall in the next two to three days.
